Also, 55gr and 62gr is most common in 5.56. The military uses 1:7" twist barrels in 14.5-20" lengths usually for the round, and it stabilizes both bullet weights perfectly fine. Well within the past few days I have decided to expand/improve my AK collection. I already have 2, a pre-ban Egyptian Maadi which is perfect, I am going to leave it as is. The mags all wobble like crazy, even my thicker Chinese and Bakelite mags wobble a lot and it doesn’t have mag dimples so I think it is ugly. I bought a new receiver for it and i’m going to reassemble it on a new one. As is its pretty much worthless to me so I should be able to fix all my issues with it that way. Comes with an 80% receiver so I can have it shipped to the door for only like 15 dollars extra but I also bought 2 100% ones that I am actually going to build this and the WASR on. I might buy some more kits, i’m considering building a Hungarian AMD-63 clone and there is an East German kit on Gunbroker I like also. It’s one of the most popular .22s out there. I’ve had mine for a few years and have had no issues with it.
