Yup, i wrote all the senators this morning. Good Morning senators. I am writing you all today to express my displeasure with what Governor Cuomo has proposed for new gun control. NYS does NOT need any more gun control than we already have, any additional laws will only needlessly hassle & oppress law abiding citizens. I am writing to formally inform each and every one of you that I will be keeping track of the votes on gun control and will be doing everything in my power to ensure you do not get reelected at any point in the future should you vote for more gun control. The people of NYS DO NOT want more gun control. I will not stand for this blatant abuse of power. If any gun control is passed I am happy to sell off my assets and move to a state that supports my rights as an American. As a land owner and tax payer of this state I DEMAND that no more gun control is passed. I sincerely hope this does not fall on deaf ears. Thank you for your time. ---

I’m also told that existing “assault weapons” as defined under the new ban would be grandfathered in but they’ll need to be registered and you will not be able to sell them. ---

So basically completely banned one generation from now, along with a ban on a ton of other guns simply for not having a magazine capacity lower than 7 rounds. Cool. This state sucks my DICK. ---

Whereas right now you need to have I believe two characteristics for a gun to be considered an assault weapon, the new law would require only one, such as a pistol grip, folding stock, etc. There’s nothing official yet and I don’t have any gun clients, so I’m not involved in the talks at all, this is just what I’m hearing from people who are involved while I’m at the Capitol today. I do believe they will pass something tonight though. ---

Most 1911s ar 8 rounders… Least most of mine are. Only my 3 inch has a 7 round. My solo takes 6 round mags, and my xds is 5 round mags. ---

Once again, if you don’t know anything about what you’re making laws about then you have no business doing so. I can’t wait for this shit to settle down again. I’m starting to question the general populations mental stability on how many “tyrannical government” posts are made on a daily basis. I honestly think congress wont do shit but it will be restrictive on state levels, much like it is now. That seems to be the path its heading down. I still think a large group of people should properly educate your elected officials on firearms and firearm safety so they can realize where the problem areas are and not make decisions based on information they think they have or understand. Vermonts governor is a hunter, the local news channel actually did a few minute segment with him in the woods while he was hunting. Basically New York, you guys are fucked. ---

In Obamas press conference today at 11:30am he struggled and stumbled “ummm…umm…” When asked direct questions about guns an the current situation. It’s like me trying to stand in his shoes during a Presidental debate without sounding like Ricky from The Trailer Park Boys. The 7-round magazine proposed law is ridiculous. But, if a group of those willing to demonstrate how quickly even a 3-round magazine can be changed during a “massacre” might change a few minds. That and explaining the difference between a clip and a magazine. Ban all the high capacity clips you want. Ill keep my high capacity magazines. ---

I often wondered if creating a posting a video showing the difference between magazines would hurt or help our situation. Let’s say we load 3 30 round magazines and 9 ten round mags, then do a video showing how fast a mag can be changed out prove that mag capacity has nothing to do with it. On one side of the fence it would show them mag cap laws do nothing. then on the flip side it can make them think, 'gee look how fast ANY mag can be changed out" and then go on a fucking rampage about that. ---

But even if that happened, a bolt action single shot rifle can still be loaded quickly too. Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly got 3 rounds off from a bolt action rifle. Where do you stop? Personally I think all this effort should be curbed towards those with mental health issues and what cases need to be regulated with gun ownership. But, like always, if someone wants a gun they will get one. ---

Heres the new gun control law thats being voted on tonight at midnight - Limit ammunition clips to seven. It’s now 10 (Except Criminals) - Force gun owners to renew their licenses every five years (Except Criminals) - Stiffen penalties for using a gun in the commission of a crime - Stiffen penalties for bringing a gun on school property - New restrictions on the assault weapons already owned by New Yorkers ---
