Tannerite is easy to make, and is leagal to own/use on a targeting type use as long as it’s NOt transpoted in a mixed state. Also you have to be careful with how big of a mix you use. a canister with one pound of this stuff in it will make a big boom. Add some titanium or zirconium powder in the mix and it makes a bright as flash too.

I’ll link this but I swear to god if any of you blow yourself up I don’t want to hear shit about it. I’ve used this mix in other ratios to produce home made model rocket motors i the past. I won’t tell you where to get the materials, you’ll have to do your own shopping. If you need or want titanium oxide powders i can get those for you.

I got a few guns myself, a little nice collection IMO, but i recently sold a few of my older ones of, i have a saiga 7.62x39, highpoint .40s&w, mosseberg 500a 12ga w/pistol grip, that’s about all for the insane stuff, a few small rifles after that, use to have a black powder and a German Mauser that i bought and flipped a small profit on lol.

Took the wife’s MP15-22 out this past weekend. Over all its a very nice rifle. Only took about 50 rounds to get it zeroed in to where she can put a nice group of 5 on the bull at 50 feet. Anybody know if there is some sort of reloader available for that rifle, it’s a real PITA to load the last 4 rounds in the mag.

50 rounds to zero in :lol what are you popping ten rounds off at a time?!?!
Don’t overload those clips, springs get weak. I usually don’t load the last couple rounds in any of the 22 sized guns. Just buy the 25 rd clips for it and load ~22-23 rounds. IIRC someone makes a 50rd drum mag for it as well.

This rifle was just passed down to me recently from my father. My grandfather purchased it for him as a gift before I was born. It spent 20+ years in the attic without being fired and when my dad came across it he thought it’d be nice to hand down.
It’s a Savage 1899B lever action 30-30 with an octagon barrel. Haven’t checked out the serial #'s yet but it was likely made sometime in the early part of the 1900’s. It’s in decent shape, though a bit dirty. There’s a small fracture in the wood on the stock and the front sight is not original but otherwise seems like a decent rifle for the age.
I don’t know a whole lot about guns, the only others I own and have shot are air rifles and .22’s. I’m not sure what I should check out/look for/clean before I take this rifle out and shoot it, but that is something I’d definitely like to do before the snow falls here so if any of you more gun savvy could help me out in that respect I’d appreciate it.

Decent gun, b model designates the octagon barrel. A’s has the round barrels. 30-30 is the most common type of that rifle, 303 savage being the next. they were made in a few different calibers after the early-mid 20’s We have one a model here in 303 savage at my dads house in pieces. Dates ~1920 iirc
pretty accurate gun though for what it is. wouldn’t shoot anything to hot(power) in it, but would certainly put some rounds through it after a thurough cleaning. Gun is very simple to maintain as long as there isn’t alot of rust on the mechanisms and in the barrel.

First time she has used iron sights. Kinda spoiled her, but letting her shoot my AR w/ the EO tech on it so it took a mag or 2 for her to get used to the sights. I was thinking about the high cap mags, but I don’t want anything that isn’t NY legal. Damn idiotic gun laws.

Cool thanks for the info. I’ll have to spiff it up and find a place to shoot it soon. The metal that I can see looks nice, little to no oxidation. My buddy has a lighted scope we could slide down the barrel so I’ll have to check that out too.
My pops also owned a round barreled 1899 in .303. He regretted selling it and that is why this one was bought for him. He also gave me his Nylon 66 .22 a while back and that thing has been a great little plinker.

Have to give $25 for FFL fee to a guy in Delmar. Even cheaper FFL guy in Stephentown for $20. Called Zacks and they wanted $499 for one with scope and everything. They want $50 FFL fee. No thanks.
Bunch of accessories for it out there that I’ll pick up soon. I heard ammo can be tough to find, but there is plenty online for ok prices.

I could build a ny legal one just like it for the same price as i built that one. Like cossey said though, Ny cant have the fun flash hider, 30 round pmag or stock. Its a mix of daniel defense, cmmg, palmeto state armory, and magpul
