I just got my converted Saiga on Saturday from JG Sales. All said and done it cost me $540. The conversion is clean. My Boss has done them on his own plenty of times as well as for other people. He was happy with how it was done.
I put 300 rounds through it on Sunday. I’m happy as shit with it.

It’s quite nice never having to worry about batteries, and knowing you’re getting the highest quality. The tritium and fiber optic lasts a long time as long as you’re not throwing the gun all over.
Quality glass makes the biggest difference.

Used trijicons are hard to find, typically because once they’re up for sale they’re sold. Anything under a grand is an absolute steal so if you really want a real one and see one for a price like that don’t hesitate to buy because it’ll likely be gone by the time you change your mind. Like Cossey said, worth every damn penny if you can cough up the money for one. I’ve been on the hunt for a good deal on a used trijicon red dot for my AR build here. No luck sofar ☹
Glad you like that rifle. I’ve got quite a few hours into building/painting/tweaking that one so if you ever run into issues with it give me a shout and we’ll debug it. It’s currently setup to shoot lake city 5.56, but should not have a problem shooting halfway decent .223 as well. Just make sure it’s good brass, and absolutely use a heavy oil on the carrier(not something like a light rem oil).
Picked up a few more pieces to my AR puzzle from JVG today. I’m now down to just needing my muzzle brake, which I’m going to machine from a piece of titanium barstock here, and I have to make my own carbon front handguard yet. That’ll complete the 5.56 range party popper. Then I’m on to building the LR upper for 1K+ yrd shooting.
