STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middle class, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What in the hell happened? Can you spell ‘politicians?’ And I still have to ‘press 1’ for English!?!?!?!?

not about prosperity, its about equal distribution of resources for everyone. Granted taxes are a pain in the ass, but without them we wouldn’t have universal healthcare, welfare, universal day care etc…
Taxes address inequalities juice, we get taxed so that people with social or economic disadvantages have the same opportunity as people who don’t.
Could be worse, could be the United States get taxed to shit and not receive any kind of compensation from government agencies, social or economic.
I’ll stick with Canada, at least we get something in return.

^^ true, but when you think of it. A lot of our taxes go to waste. Prisoners, goven’t employee’s salary, bailouts (in the US) etc. just dumb shit.

I definitely think the US have it better than us.
Have you ever thought about how criminally overpaid government employees are here?
I honestly think Canada wastes all that they take from us in tax. And it’s cause we don’t have the balls to say anything about it. Compared to the US, we wallow in apathy, that’s why our politicians fuck us so much. Cause we don’t do a damn thing to stop them.

Claimed 864,480 lives in 2005 (final mortality) (35.3 percent of all deaths or 1 of every 2.8 deaths).
Other final 2005 mortality: total cancer 559,312; accidents 117,809; HIV (AIDS) 12,543.
Nearly 151,000 Americans killed by CVD in 2005 were under age 65.
2005 final death rates from CVD were 324.7 for white males and 438.4 for black males; for white females 230.4 and for black females 319.7. (Death rates are per 100,000 population. The rates listed use the year 2000 standard U.S. population as the base for age adjustment.)
From 1995 to 2005, death rates from CVD declined 26.4 percent.
In the same 10-year period the actual number of deaths declined 9.6 percent.
Why is it that, once US went to afgan the herion production rate ski rocketed?

^^^ i agree with you man, all good points, everythings definitly fucked up in the US, especially the tax system, its a little more fucked up when the top percentile of the US population owns more than 90% of the wealth.
Not sayin the tax systems not fucked up in Canada, or tthat its efficient.
Sayin it give us benefits, like healthcare and other shit that I wouldn’t trade for the convenience of not paying taxes.

I cant get started on this shit, I could go on for hours.
Ill say one thing I used to work in the GO Transit head office, people would be standing around talking for hours.
Bottom line we are getting robbed. And I think money given to people for welfare is a fuckin waste, dont give my money to them, fuck’em, get a fuckin job. I work hard so they dont have to. Doesnt make sense.
