So I preordered GTA back in August last summer. I moved twice since then, and lost my original sales receipt for my preorder, but I have the mock-game box that shows I preordered the game (which says to bring it in between 10/17/07-10/31/07). Did I lose my $5 down payment for the game? If so, will I at least be able to have my copy reserved still or am I going to have to hope it doesn’t sell out?

just see if they can look the receipt up which shows u made a down payment on the game. if they cant get the receipt (which is highly unlikely) then yes you are most likley going to have to hope they dont sell out

Anyone know if you pre-order GTA IV if they are releasing it early at Gamestop?
A while ago they did it with GTA: SA. Gamestop let people who preordered come the night before the official launch and buy the game. I’d like to pick it up tonight if possible.

They should be able to look it up. Most stuff like that goes into the system. When people have a best buy reward zone card, we can re-print any purchase they made if they lose the receipt. as long as the card gets scanned for the points. Should work for credit info too.
I can ask tomorrow when I go in, but someone on here will probably answer before then.

I’m pretty sure all locations are opening at midnight for the launch tonight. I saw a .pdf earlier with a list of locations. I’ll try to dig it up.

Game crazy on delaware and kenmore (ish), is handing out numbers at 8:00. I’m gonna head out there at 7:30 to get my number. They did this for halo 3 and it worked out pretty well. You don’t have to wait in line for an hour.

Should have no problem looking it up then. I don’t even have a BB card anymore they just scan it using my license, so I assume they keep purchases on file for some time.
Stop into customer service, for pre-order I am sure they have your info on file.
