Butchered doesn’t even begin to describe what they did to that tub to test fit the drivetrain. Too little too late as they say…
And you’re most certainly right on the LS1 swap topic. I’m just waiting for the day i get a call to build yet another one, except that it’s going under the cowl of an Extra 300 aerobatic or something. I’ve already built two that went into a Cig boat, so I know the “no wheels” swap is covered :lol

Whatever -
Once upon a time Yenko was shoving 427s into Novas - a car that was a set of headers away from 10s from the dealership on bias ply. Them’s psycho notions, shoving a blown LS1 into a Rex and they’re in the spirit of the purest hotrodness to be had.
It doesn’t matter how ugly or fucked the prospect of a thing might be, as long as someone’s willing to shove an honest, pump-gas engine (boost or not) under the hood of a car much too small for it . . .

That’s what I meant in my previous post. I would have also liked to see some proper planning instead of hacking the shit out of the rex. That was the part that angered me.
