[Black people are so much cooler than white people] Yesterday i was at the sunnoco on niagara (right DT, near the riverfront projects) in the elise. All of a sudden i was surrounded by approximately 5 black guys on bikes… [They were so happy and enthusiastic about everything. They didn’t have one bad thing to say about anything and showed not a hint of jealousy, despite the fact that they probably had very little money, poor housing, etc etc. (perhaps i am making overt generalizations, but bear with me)] [And really, I could care less about the attention I get with the car, I am used to it, and it can be a nuissance at times. However, 50% of the time white people talk to me about it, the first thing out of there mouth is something derrogatory. “This car has to be so unsafe/overpriced/only a 4 cylinder, etc.”, before going on to compliment the car and tell me how much they like it. It’s clear that there is some underlying resentment there.] [However, these kids have fucking soul. More white people need to adopt this attitude] ok, that’s it. ---

white people don’t need to adopt any attitude. If they got something that’s not nice to say, they’ll say it. If somebody’s comments make you cry, then you’re the one that needs to adopt a new attitude. ---

So us white people need more “soul”. I remember the movie “Sister Act.” Now, those people had some soul. Maybe it was just a movie, but i’ve walked by some churches and i hear people singing like that. But i just can’t see myself or any of my fellow friends having that much “soul.” Maybe i’m just a boring white person. ---

But I would lump so many more black people in the ~happy~ category, and i would lump so many more white people in the ~grumpy~ category. Yeah, it’s racist to say that, but from my experience, it is true. The point is, while i may make negative comments, they are usually in jest, and my diction and tone typical make this VERY clear. I am happy. So many whites are miserable, despite having alot of “physical possesions” So many blacks are kind, open minded and happy, despite having (apparently) few “physical possesions” And i am not trying to ay that blacks are poorer than whites. If you compared poor blacks to poor whites, the results would be even more staggering. ---
