# Thinking about the air force.

Junior in HS thinking about the air force reserves. It just seems like it would fit me well to have military background as I want to get into law enforcement. The benefits seem to be alright to. Any positive/ negative insight on this?

there are better things to do to get into law enforcement, like take a test

as much as i hate to admit it he’s right.
if you want to be a cop do it. 2 years in college is more valuable than 4 years airforce reserve.

really? i once wanted to be a cop (for experience until better things) and it seemed like it was completely the other way around.
now i don’t care. and that was a serious really. lol. \<3

it’s more about if your smart enough, physically able enough, and who you know. In that order. If you don’t know anyone or your not a minority or woman THEN military backround helps.
Military backround helps but not as much as you’d think. Your talking to an over 9 years veteran with 2 wars and more than enough combat experience under his belt.
