the charge for what ? the fact that university police wernt into that kind of mucis and therefor didnt get it ?
and who the fuck cuts up a susspected pipe bomb with the jaws of life ?

Well, I can see the scare there and its good that security isnt fucking around, but the penalty of up to 6 months in jail? Thats a little much.

what wouldve happened if the bike did explode and people had seen the sticker “this bike is a pipe bomb”? that would be a pretty big fucking mistake. the only thing i cant understand is the penalty.

ya i can understand where the police are coming from for how they reacted to the situation, but saying they are going to file charges against the guy is rediculous. Unless they can prove he put the sticker there to cause an alarm like this.

^^ yeah. its the name of a band, he probably thought it would just be something kinda funny to put on his bike, and just didnt expect to get that kind of reaction.

So you’d gladly try to cut apart a pipe bomd with a hack saw??? It makes perfect sense to me. If the bike were stuffed with gunpowder, there’s almost no chance of it detonating when the bike is ripped apart at the welds.
And its a **maximum** sentence of 6 months. I doubt the kid will get anything seeing as how there was no malicious intent, that we know of at least. At worst he’ll be fined by the school, which is still stupid.

Chances are he will get off with pretty close to nothing, but what I think is ridiculous is that there is even a CHANCE of him receiving 6 months, even though that is the maximum.

no, i wouldnt cut it apart at all
for gunpowder to make a truely effective bomb, it need to be tightly packed. this is what black powder riffles are highly ineffective if the ball isnt tight against the powder. if a loose pack was effective, it wouldnt take so damn long to reload a powder riffle
it doesnt take that much to ignite explosives either, its what makes explosives explosive
cutting metal in ANY way can create sparks, and that includes snapping a pipe with jaws of life, and it doesnt help that the compression of the pipe woukld increase the “quality” of the powder pack
and how do you expect someone to trigger this sort of bomb ? radio equipment, a radar system? a timer? maybe if your an electronics guru that can make a very compact system that can be hidden within the frame of the bike, but thats not something most bombrs would bother with
you know what works well for this type of bomb ? a 9v battery, a murcury switch, and a rocket motor ignitor
park bike, insert battery, walk away, wait for someone to bump into it or attempt to steal it
if i wore a t-shirt that said “i eat dead baby’s” would i be arrested ? noooooo. this is because people arent stupid enough to beleive it. at least i THOUGHT they werent
i beleive this to be the sticker in question, if not its the same design, just different color. obviously a profesional made sticker.
