# this weekend

I found out my Unit is put on alert status to be deployed. its just a initial status nothing set yet…we had a briefing bye the commander of the 99th about the situation and there are three places they are looking to send us Kosovo Iraq or afganstain…

kind of a weird situation for the Unit though.i am in a relacement unti…that handles all the paper work of sending trooups overseas or down range in country…but the catch is the Army is dismantling the Unit and making us a postal Unit…seems like the Army needs more postal Units for all these conflicts overseas…

Boy am i glad i joined the reserves…3 years in Germany 2 at FT Bragg 82nd Airborne DIV…no deployments or conflicts…8 in reserves 2 kosovo rotations and my last deployment for shipping of all equipment overseas,

if i can lose this 31 lbs in the next month and a half ill be hopefully signing papers so i can ship my ass out and hopefully go airborne.

btw my bro leaves in sept. (atleast what he says) probably for afghanistan.
