It will be running the same 303HP motor that is in the Impala SS. Should make that shortbed fly!!!

It does say V8 available in 2008 but not exactly what V8. I think its a good idea by GM to put some power into these trucks.

IF they do end up putting a v-8 in it, the motor will be detuned so it is not too powerful, just have to take it somewhere to get that fixed.

I used to test the I5 for GM and Iād say that the I5 would put out whatever the V8 will put out. But, a V8 would DEF sound better and probably have more low end torque.

production has been put off until 2009 model year because they are having a supply issue with the 5.3l. and yes, they are putting a 5.3l in itā¦ FUCK YEAH!!!

I know they are putting the 4.5L diesel into the silverados/sierras in 2009
