# Thoughts on the R1?

i was just glancing through some 04’s and think im sold on them… 5-6k for a 1 liter with low miles is awesome to me… when i started riding i couldn t get a 3 yr old 6 for 6 k!

I had an 03 R1, i loved it, real nice bike. Loads of hp and torque, more then your average rider will ever be able to use. I had it to the track ran a 10.5 @ 135 with a 2 Bros. slip-on and a filter, could have bettered that no doubt with more seat time. I miss that bike, heres a pic…

nah… ive ridden powerful bikes… but im also just nitpicking too
the R1 is def badass, but the yamaha trannies seem a little to twitchy and notchy… again this is nitpicking
