# Throttle cable adjustment (KA24DE) quick question

quick stupid question.  
My throttle pedal has some play in it, I’ve just dealt with it to this day.

The “u” part of the pedal that is supposed to hold the little “nut” at the end of the cable, there’s about an inch of play.  
In the FSM instructions it seems that if you adjust the nuts in the engine bay it will tighten the cable on the side of the “accelerator drum” when it looks like I need to adjust the pedal side of the cable.

Someone tell me I’m just retarded and I should just go ahead with adjusting the nut in the engine bay that FSM says to.
