# throttle cable that fits..

i have a problem with my throttle cable, its from a ka24e, and wont stretch over my SR long enough, i start it up and it ‘idles’ at around 4000 i think higher (my tach doesnt work), wondering what throttle cable am i supposed to be using for this swap.

I am using my KA24E throttle cable on my SR. It reaches fine, just has to go over the valve cover a little bit.

I bought this month’s Modified mag, and there’s a SR20 swap guide in there… It could be useful to you, but I think it’s a 4 part series.

like straight across the valve cover?, i’ve tried adjusting it, with the two bolts, just doesn’t stretch enough, maybe a little more rerouting might work.

You can use a throttle cable off a Nissan 200SX Turbo cable.

Mine just stretches over the valve cover a few inches on the passenger side corner. I’ve had no problems. AFAIK thats what the other zenki swaps have.

yeh i got it figured out, just had to kinda bend the throttle housing down a little,
