^^^and your not making enough horsepower if your concerned about power differences of piecuts and mandrel bends.

it looks like excellent fabrication to me.

I thought Ti had to be welded in a Vacuum?

no, just fully sheilded if your weld will penetrate both sides of the material… usually done with an argon tent or something like a converted blash chamber

Excellent work. I didn’t read through it, I wonder how cut everything? Ti is a pita to cut, machining it is even more of a pain. If it was me, I would have used 321 stainless, .065 wall tubing and saved a shitload of dough. 321ss is pretty light. Titanium is baller and all, but really, it’s a bit overkill for this application. It sucks for building bicycle frames too. Ever ride a ti framed bike? It’s like a wet noodle. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve dabbled in it, and would like to do more with it, but it’s just not an “everyday alloy”. Funny thing, I have about $600-800 worth of 4/6 Ti filler rod sitting around, all sealed up in an air tight package, just waiting to be used.

Function over form. I find that auto parts and even computer parts that are designed to perform look better most of the time compared to a purely aesthetic design.

yea im not really liking all the pie cuts. it would deff look better with mandrel bent. but hey if you go the money then more power to you.

Thats what i was thinking

no need for pie cuts, way cheaper and easier to weld
