Who is to say its a t cover bolt ? It could be a few diff things that ass may not have touched ! That’s my point .

I agree with your first paragraph 90%. I do not perform without mistakes at my job. However, this is a different world now. A world with Yelp, forums, tweets, Facebook, etc. For every restaurant there is a dissatisfied customer commenting. And yes, at my job, when somebody calls the one eight hundred number I am TOTALLY accountable for what happened. With an independent shop, there is no number. It’s just up to the shop owner. What you don’t understand is that I, without sponsorship or comment, boasted about A.S.S. for nearly two years because of the people that I met there when I first came back to Albany. Those people have left A.S.S. for their own reasons. I also don’t believe that I’ve “trashed” A.S.S. or Daryl. How is what I said different from what he said? I stated facts. Derive from them what you may. I assure you that if I contacted Daryl today and he said, “You know what. You’re right. We might have messed up considering the situation, I’ll refund you \_\_\_ of the labor.” I would’ve come on here and said, “Wow. This shop gets it and they will back you.” And you know what? Future customers love that stuff.
And no, I’m not surprised at the dealer not wanting to work on my car. I was surprised that they were welcoming to it, then suddenly not despite my full disclosure. I wouldn’t have posted or batted an eye if they said, “Ya know, we can’t really work on a car of your type,” the first time I called them.

I have only know. D.c to go out of his way to help people . This fact is what troubles me . I really need to see pics of said bolt to agree . Granted I’m not saying it don’t happen as a tech I don’t have a 100% batting average but it’s rare for me to get a boomerang . No shop has a perfect rep . 5 months out and who knows how many miles or how hard the miles were is also unknown . U guys are bashing a shop that has strived to help any of us ! And that also wants meatpaws to work there Terribly !!! "Selfless self gratifying " l

Shift won’t let me upload pics for some reason but that pic is off the invoice. So why would an independent shop in FL make something up about an non-competitor in Albany, NY?

I had ASS do a brake job on a car of mine back in 2011 and after I left I had fluid fucking pouring out of my front driver side caliper. Had to fill the master cylinder up every day. I ended up trading the car in a few weeks later but will most likely not take any car back there. Just my .02

No no I’m just saying if the bolt was from something g unrelated to what they did ! If its from a t cover , tensioner etc its on them . But from something else it’s hard to say its there fault . Also 10 deg timing off is not 3 teeth on a t belt . 3 feather would be more and most deff a piston a to valve hit. I can’t sit here and say its not there fault or say it is its a shit situation

I’ve always had good luck at ASS. The last time I was there for an inspection in 2012 one of their techs took my car and romped on it down the road. Completely unnecessary. Haven’t gone back since.

it already happened haha it was called new salam saab… i was at the auction and watched my friends dad sell off all his fathers business for next to dirt, it was kind of funny actually

whoa whoa whoa they were testing your brake equalization!! lets not get ahead of ourselves now… they had to go wot to get the proper amount of speed… didnt you know thats how you inspect a car?

Chris - that pic shows 6.5 hours to R&R we charged you 5.2 book time.
I appreciate the rest of your opinions although there’s two side to all stories…never the less…
And I’m not hiding behind the NAPA warranty either… But proper paperwork with facts not conjecture nor opinions is what is needed…
I do love the “experts” here though…uou know the ones who know everything yet cant change a lightbulb…
How come you dont whale on Yetti? Not that he deserves it ever. He worked with us for a long time…Saw Saab dismantle themselves and was there with me and a few others to live through what we did to survive as long as we did… them came to ASS. Guess what since you trust him and Slowmarrow, ask them what we have done when we made errors. We make it right…
Since you opened the can of worms Chris…Why dont you tell the public what went down the last time you were at ASS and the last thing you said before you slammed the door? I think this also has bearing on where you stand. Even after your actions and kind words I still am looking for a way to assist you in Flordia… I could easily have been rude like you were that day an told you what I thought huh? But no…I was nice anyways and did the right thing so far…
So Chris…tell that story and lets see how people feel about that… If you choose not to, I’d like the public to know more about your short tempered diposition… I think it’ll wake this tread right up!
