is it me or is tint pricing getting out of control? I remember when you could do a whole car for $199… even SUV’s… doesn’t seem worth it on a DD with the amount of times you will be pulled over. Not to mention a tint ticket is like $250+ ---

rules change for trucks iirc… my tahoe has 5% over the factory on the cargo area and i’ve never had a problem in any state between georgia and new york ---

My car came with the rear sides and rear window tinted pretty dark and I’ve yet to be stopped for it so I dunno lol. ---

I don’t know how you people get bothered for tint. My car is black on black, 30% on all sides and rear window + sunroof and 50% on the windshield. Cops never stop me and if they do, it’s usually warnings or just to see if I’m drunk or something stupid. In fact, a UC followed me for about 10 miles yesterday waiting for me to f up so he could get me and finally gave up. Same thing on the Maxima…although that interior was tan and the car was gold. 35% tint on all the windows (except front windshield) and I only got one tint ticket and that was because I told the cop to take his texting ticket he was trying to give me and shove it up his corn hole (at that time, texting was a secondary offence so he needed to stop me for something else before he could even think of giving me texting - so he came back with tint :lol) ---

Fine Line Tint shop on western is where you want to go. Tell Jason that Frank with the white TBSS sent you over and he’ll probably give you a little break. ---

Jason turns out some awesome work. No bubbles in the tint anywhere and he takes it all the way to the very edge of the window so you can’t even tell its there. ---

Ive been debating tinting the car, but I just dont want the hassle of having to deal with the cops. Im already lucky with no front plate to get pulled over. Something tells me with the black wheels the car is going to draw more attention ---

Cars- Front and rear side windows 70%, rear window can be whatever you want SUV- Front windows 70%, rear side windows and back window can be whatever you want IIRC ---

Yea I have had both cars and SUVs with tint. In any car I would be pulled over like 7 out of 10 times in my SUVs more like 1 out of 10 if that. So much easier to get away with it in a truck or suv. On a car no window is supposed to be tinted so the second a cop sees it it is an instant red flag. On a suv or truck the sides and back are factory tinted so it’s much harder to spot if the front two are done as well. ---

Not to mention a tint ticket is like $250+ True story, I honestly forget where my dad had the 300ZX tinted oh some 16 years ago, but it was where Inline Performance used to be back then, maybe it was tint king? Either way IIRC it cost him about 120 bucks to get the whole car tinted, and it still looks great. I called around to get the Honda Fit tinted, cheapest place was 250, not that i think its all that bad, but to be honest, I can order the laser cut tint for my car. the same exact shit these places use for around 100 bucks or so and do it myself which im thinking about doing. Doing tint is not hard so long as your patient and want to do a good job. ---
