Yeah, so I think this looks really good. Is it something that can be done in the backyard or should it be taken to a place that does it? If so, anyone have any recommendations?

I got my windows done at Eclipse, but yeah we all know what happened to them. I wouldn’t go back to that dirtbag anyway.

Does that Rainbow place do it? Anyone have any info on a possible price?

I like those wheels on that car actually. Get a can of VHT nightshade from pep boys and spray them yourself.

This, but make sure you prep EXTREMELY WELL. it will come off with lacquer thinner if you mess up but it will take a little time to get off. 1-2 coats is all ya need to make them look good, buy VHT not the rustoleum brand. I have experience with both and the VHT is much better quality!

I have mine tinted with real tint, not with VHT. I had VHT on my last car and it looked really dull. I’m not really sure where/if there’s a good place to get it done around Buffalo. I’ve been pulled over a few times for speeding and no cop has said anything about the tail lights.

I used VHT also. All you have to do is wetsand and buff them an hour or so after you spray them.

Never had an issue with VHT night shades being dull. You wouldve thought that they were factory tinted if you saw them.

I HATE super dark tail lights. I think about the OE shade of my tail lights is perfect, it looks better than non-tinted (like the non-turbos of my car…) but its not too dark. If I were you, I’d go for something in this shade. Less likely to get bugged by the cops too.

Thanks for all the info and suggestions guys. I’m not sure what I’m gonna do at this point. All of the cars shown look good.

I don’t want it to have a dull or smoked look, I think that looks sort of lame, so I would be nervous about using VHT, after what people said.

I like the idea of making them darker but not black, but I dunno, my car is black and I’m trying to make it as black as possible, so I’m not sure if that’ll work for me. My car as far as I can tell looks the same as the one in the pic except my rims are stock, and obviously the tail lights.

The only thing is wiith my tints and HIDs the cops already seem to hate me so I’m not sure how black I’m willing to go.

Thanks

FYI my lights are 3 coats of VHT and 3 coats of Clear. Less coats means they will be lighter but harder to get even coverage.
