# Tinted Tails\*COMPLETE\*

k so i finally got to tinting my tailights… it only took about an hr in total to remove lights, clean them and then paint them. I went a bit darker then i wanted to, but it was deceiving because i had all the lights on so they didnt look as dark as they really were. hope they still light up good or else ill have to use paint thinner to remove it all and do it again.
BTW, since i know someone will comment on my painting sheet, that was actually one of my bed sheets i found in a box that my mom kept from when i was like 2.
heres the pics of everything.
Before tinting
Left light has 1 coat.
And the rest…
k i went out for like 30 min and used gas/paint thinner and tried to lighten it up a bit, and this is the best i got w/o any sand paper…
and this is with them on the car to see how bright the lights are.

I said it on the 5borad too… TOO DARK.

Never really a fan of tinting taillights, but it doesn’t look too bad.
Can’t really give a fair judgement, without a nicer comparison photo.

yup, ive been really busy and i havent got to the carwash haha.plus its been really sloppy in the roads so it doesnt take long when i go to nait and back from my house everyday. im getting a carwash in the mornin then ill take a better pic.
they actually didnt come much lighter when i tryed to take some of the tint off. there not too… bad but still i want them lighter. i still need a clear coat too so they will have to come out again anyways.

They salt the roads in E-town? If they do, I wouldn’t be parking that car in the garage (if it is heated), that usually promotes rust.

oh yah, my car is always parked in a garage… not heated tho. i usually dont let it get that dirty. its just the roads are so sloppy that its practically pointless of washing it. but its clean now, and im on my way to the meet. ill snap a pic of the tails in a min.
