# tire help needed

hey, i just bought some wheels for my s13. They are sized 16 with 7 +27 in front and 8 +25 in the rear. I was wondering if someone could help me with tire choices. I will be mostly using them on the street and strip. So they need to have reletivley good dry traction. If I try drifting this year a little i will throw on some !@#tty tires on the stockers. I guess they mostly offer 55 side walls on 16 tires? I would like to know what people have had luck with so far.

cant go wrong with 225’s on the 8’s and say a 205 or a 215 up front.
you had FM901’s last year, get em again

yeah 225 rear and a 215 front would be perfect IMO.

Thanks guys. Will do! Now just need to find cheap tires. You’re rite I went with FM901s last year. Maybe this year too. Maybe some Azenis??

i might as well hijack this puppy.
just got 17x9’s front and rear for my S13…
245/40/17???
what would look good and fit right for this size wheel. something with a small sidewall, im even thinking 40 is too big. anyone have pictures?

yo man, i agree with 225/45/16
i say either… yoko parada spec-2’s. they have amazing traction and no slipping and i know for a fact my work has a set of 16’s in teh warehouse right now cause ive been looking at them for a friends car but hes lofting. heres a pic…
or the falken azenis rt-215. my buddy has a set of 17’s on his impreza and loves them to death. same price as those crappy fuzions and less road noise. thats the only bad thing i have heard about the yokos, they get loud on the highway. heres a pic of the azenis…

That’s what I’ll be running on my 17x9s. I don’t think 40 is too big at all, but it’s up to you.

with anything under a 40 series your wheel is subject to alot of abuse from teh road (ie potholes, speedbumps, etc) but if you want some good tires im thinking these…
the yoko avs dbs2. they are really f-ing nice and i wish i had some bigger wheels to put them on ☹ i was offered at my cost to get a set of 245/40/18’s for 600 bucks, btw if anyone wants them at that price pm me and i can hook you up. 6 bills for 18’s…sounds good yea ? lol

i have 17’s tho not 16’s…
i was going to get falkens because i can get them cheap where i work. a 235/40/17 is good i think.
does anyone have pics of different sizes on S13’s?

I would get the azenis, but they don’t make them in 225 for my 16"x8" rears.

i can’t say that i’ve owned any other preformance tires but i love my yoko avs es100’s, i had 225/55/16 on my skyline rims i loved em, if i were richer i’d be rocking parada’s
