I actually went to a 195 width, just because I didnt like how the grooves in the road would pull the car. 285/35/18s here… They pull in W-grooves hard! 225/45s should fit a 7" rim fine but you may have to increase your ride height slightly so they wont rub. You could always put a larger tire up front then in back for straight line traction. I did this on my GTP years ago and it worked great. It didnt handle anyway so it was not a concern and it didnt make a noticeable difference. I know a lot of FWD cars have more room in the front wheel wells than the rear… Just another option.
