# tire recommendation thread

The cobra is in need of some new tires pretty soon. Right now it has some sumitomo z or something on there and they don’t hook for dick. I’m scared to push it at all in corners as the rear just wants to walk out on me to easily. I like to auto-x with it so looking for a good tire that can handle some curves and give me some confidence on the street. I can get a pretty good deal on toyo proxes 4, but don’t know anyone that has run them to comment on them. How about something from the nitto lineup?

im going with falken fk452’s for my new tire. they are a nice street tire, but not something that i would get crazy with. they will handle in the corners nicely if need be as well.
im thinking you want something a little better, i would say some Dunlop Star Specs 😃 or Bridgestone RE-11’s possibly. its only me opinion though so there is bound to be a lot of people out there that agree and disagree.

Falken Azines 615
Kumho XS
Bridgestone RE-11
BFG G-force KD
Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec
Nitto NT05
Toyo Proxes R1R
Any of these tires are ran in the Solo Street tire classes, and are loved, You can not go worng with any of these tires, some are stonger at like wet traction, but give up a little in dry and vise versa.
I have ran 4 sets of Falken Azines tires and have loved them.

I have been running azine 615’s on my SHO for a few years now and I love them to death. I have run a few autoX on them and they do great. I recently ran them at dunville on the road course and they held up remarkably well given the way I was driving.

I would go with the azenis.They are also cheaper then the rest

if you’re going to autoX and wants cheaper tire than the azenis 615s are the route most often taken. anything from that list above is good.

I have both 615s and star specs both are great.
