# Title question

im always scared to put under 500 for anything, i heard that if its under 500 they sometimes give u shit or make u pay book value ?

putting it as a gift i’de be sure that you would have to pay book value

thats not true, ive paid under 500 for a few cars and reg/titled them with no question

It depends what DMV and who you get. Sometimes they don’t care, but they are cracking down hard now with the state of the economy.

Dude, your scared because your doing something intentionally wrong lol… There is absolutely no reason for ANYONE to say ANYTHING about any price you put down…

One time I bought an 07 civic and I put down like 1,500… Lady goes WOWWW thats cheap… I said, yeah, too bad it needs and engine and transmission and then she said oh not so cheap anymore…

DMV can not make you pay no damn book value on something they have no clue about… You could legitimately be buying something with a high book value that needs a shit ton of work.
