# Title transfer without previous owner?

Is it possible to have a title transfered without the previous owner being present if it has not been signed over and notarized?

everytime that i have done one is… have the person that is selling the car go to AAA with the title. AAA will have that person fill out everything and then they will hold the title up to something like 24 hours maybe the end of the day and then you can come in and sign the rest of the stuff over never really having to see the person who you are buyin the car off of. other then that the persons signiture needs to be notorized. i think.
