im thinking abou sending out my ECU to have it chipped. im thinking about going with autotech. i have the 24v VR6. acording to what they say i should get 12.5 extra hp at the wheels. they also say it will fix the lag from the drive by wire system. this is the link to the chip im looking at. [http://www.autotech.com/prod\_engine\_qchip.htm#a46](http://www.autotech.com/prod_engine_qchip.htm#a46) . any suggestions or other chips u think would work better would really help. thanks

for the 24v, chips are all pretty much the same BUT the most proven one is GIAC, i know alot of guys are happy with it. Autohaus does it using the apr software, check out their prices i think they are pretty reasonable.

Well, you have a lot of research to do. Your best bet is check on [www.vwvortex.com](http://www.vwvortex.com). In their forums, there is a section dedicated to the 24V VR6, and I am sure there are many discussions on software choices for your engine.

Actually you do. VW of OP tends to look the other way. I wouldn’t bank on it if something did indeed go wrong.
