Come to UBdental and become a patient… I will be happy to give you a cleaning and make you some bleaching trays. Also, if you have the UB health insurance (I think it is chickering) the do cover dental procedures. The crest whitening strips only work well if you have straight teeth. If your teeth are overlapping or malpositioned you will most likely have some areas that do not bleach due to the strip not being in contact with your tooth in that area. ---

i use crest white strips every so often, usually the first time i use them im fine, then the next time i use them my teeth get sensitive and hurt like a mofo for a day or so, but are fine after that. i havent noticed much results from them but i havent used them as often as directed either, i think im going to check into something from the dentist soon ---

sodium hypochlorite can give off some chloride if ingested. You’ll get a tummy ache and maybe vomit, but as long as your teeth are white who can complain! ---

I’ve been thinking about getting whitening done @ my Dentist’s office. But i’ve also been using Crest Vivid White toothpaste and Crest Vivid White Night Toothpaste for when I sleep. The night toothpaste I brush on and in the morning I use the regular stuff…i’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and my teeth are a lot whiter. ---

Well, that’s kind of a dick thing to say. It isn’t like they send us to the clinic to treat patients with no experience under our belts. We spend the first 2 years of school practicing on models and are graded to the half millimeter. A lot of people come to UB dental school to ensure they get good work done since we are graded on everything we do and aren’t allowed to take any shortcuts. Sorry to hear about your friends wife but don’t make a generalization that work done at the school is sub par based on one persons experience. Thanks. ---

Thanks for educating me on “how people are”. You must have gained this knowledge in the 4 months you have been on earth longer than me. The fact is… you have no idea of the quality of the work done at the school let alone the particular circumstances of your buddy’s wife’s procedures. You post on a public forum that you would never let a dental student touch your teeth because you have heard of an isolated incident. True, you are entitled to your opinion as am I… and my opinion is that it is in poor taste to make off the cuff remarks regarding something you know little about on a public forum. I was just trying to offer you an option regarding your desire to whiten your teeth not to get into a pissing match. Oh well, I hope the whitening strips work out for you. ---
