I don’t think that was the 1st special though. The winter “special” was basically just part of an episode. It still had a whole in studio part. The America special was supposed to just be like a 10-15 minute segment of an in studio episode but they realized they had way more footage and made it a “special”. Botswana was the first time they set out with the plan to make an entire episode nothing but their adventure. Also, they really should have hyped this more before the launch to show the chemistry between the three of them. Jen and I were literally in tears laughing at the comments after watching this. I watched them all but cant help but try to compare them to the originals. They have some quirks for sure but i actually liked the top gear americas so i have no taste anyway.
