Let’s be fair. Lots of original TG contests were quite obviously scripted as well, most recent in my memory is the snowmobile one.

It’s a SHOW after all. Just like original TG may have their train vs skyline races real, they sill have to go back and tape the material of where the cars go by certain streets. Perfect example is SUV vs bicycle vs boat.
