Hey SON members.
We are thinking about bringing in some JDM bikes.
Let us know what you think and maybe post some picture of the JDM bikes that you may be interested in.
Possibly some specs and info of the bike?
If we have a good response we will bring some.

I assume the same import laws apply for bikes as they do for cars?
What about motorsets? They usually run between 600-2000, depending on the bike, and year in the states… I’m going to need a full running motorset from a litre bike in the next year, if you can get them cheap from JDMland that’d be cool…
I honestly don’t know what types of “cool JDM model” bikes exist, I know about the bikes the brought here, are there really any cool ones that you can’t get here, or can get from there cheaper? Bikes tend to stay in pretty good shape if they’re not wrecked or laid down… I would think after importing etc, you could find the equivalent model here for less…

this is interesting, never even thought about importing bikes… if the margins are the same you could make a killing specialising in this stuff.

there was a bike i think yamaha and its a 500 two stroke. with four exhaust… shit usually i am much better at remembering names. i can remember its like mid 90’s though

Same 15 year old law applies to bike as well.
sport bikes 600cc-1000cc, mini 125cc gas saver for getting around?
Regular cruiser would be good too…we may bring all the style for everyone’s need.
Next time the boss is in Japan he will take some picture of bikes and get their specs. and the price range as well.

Yes i would agree. Generally in small places Japan they don’t need a V8 to buy groceries that is why there is a lot of 600cc small vehicles as well.

Hot.
I’m willing to buy a VFR400 NC30 right now for under 5000.
That’s STOCK.
Any CBR400RR, ZXR400, GSXR400RR will sell here! I gurantee it. There is such a hole for smaller sized super sport bikes. I’f fukcin glove to have one for the track adn one for the road.
THERE IS A DEMAND FOR IT!!! For sure!
I can help you move these for sure! I’ve worked in the bike industry for 7 years and am thinking of opening a business doing this and servicing them most of all.
Those are all STOCK bikes BTW.

yeah that guy is right, id kill for a 400cc sport bike. perfect ratio of speed and fuel sipping.
