# TPS

The FSM says that this TPS should read ~1k ohms at closed throttle and 9k ohms at WOT. Mine reads 1.25k-7.05k ohms… is this close enough or are things going to be screwey?

it is possible that it isn’t adjusted properly so when you do open throttle your arent close to the readings. but no it doesn’t have to be on the exact number the book says but close

Hey, thanks Elias,

These readings are with the TPS installed, and using the throttle to open and close it.

I’ve just ripped my whole harness apart to find some other problems so we’ll see where I am after today.

not sure how ohms compares to volts but my tps reads .37 closed and 3.8 open. fsm spec is .4 and 4.0 . i havent had any problems. it says “approax” in the fsm too doesnt it?

Not in mine, this is for a CA. I was hoping it would be in volts. I’ll check my voltage tomorrow to compare. Thanks!
