# Tracking Cookie

well my cracked version of norton 2006 with 3500 subscription days automaticly updated and screwed me putting me back to -1 subscription days… I got like 5 viruses within 10 mins afterwards.
So I bought and downloaded norton 2007 and cleaned up the computer…
Now all thats left is a damn tracking cookie and its pissin me off cuz i’ll click a link and it takes 3 trys before it takes me to the right link i want… ( It’ll send me to a random site like [shopping.com](http://shopping.com) or something)
I know its the tracking cookie thats doing it. Norton says it removes it and fixes it everyday but it keeps coming back…
Is there any way to go in get it off my computer manually? then run norton to make sure its gone? I already tried deleteing all cookies and it still shows up on norton.

Sounds like U got some spyware.
DL Windows Defender & see what it finds.
P.S. Norton sucks donkey balls by the way. AVG free finds stuff Norton misses and itz FREE!

I’ve tried that junk before and all it got me was more spyware…
I havent had a problem in 2 years… then my norton2006 died

I take it your the above average user who knows how to use AV software a bit…spyware is a bitch to get rid of…get ad-aware free and get spysweeper…they should get rid of it or at least find what can’t be removed…from there google is your friend. Norton is too graphically intensive and it sucks ass like stated above

The newest version of Norton Internet Security 2007 is much better than previous versions. I had Norton IS on my old computer and it worked well, it was just horrible on resources used. My new PC has McAfee Security on it, and I really wish I had Norton back.
AVG is a good free program to use. If you’re looking to spend a little money, also take a look at TrendMicro’s products.
What is the name of the spyware that your computer is finding? Although Norton may say it has deleted the spyware, chances are pretty good that it’s still around. Newer spyware will embed itself in the registry which sucks pretty badly. If you let me know the name, I can look into it more for you.

stop downloading porn and stupid shit. The only spyware thats really in anything now a days is porn and warez crap (some websites). If your downloading apps. find a creditable source first.
