# Tranny waiting too long to change gears

Im having this trouble with my engine reving rather high before any shifts.

Its a 93 KA24DE auto. Using about 1/4 - 1/2 throttle at all times, in first it rev’s to about 4000 - 4200 PRM’s before shifting to 2nd and its a rough shift when it does shift. Then it takes until 3500 - 3700 RPM’s to change to third and then about 3200 - 3500 to change to fourth. These numbers are a little high for my taste. The tranny oil was changed recently and it was topped up too high. It was lowered to the correct level. Also the O/D doesn’t appear to work at all anymore. There is no change in the RPM’s weather or not its in or out.

Does anyone have any ideas what to look for?

I have had it to two mechanics and one Mr. T and no one could give me an idea whats wrong with it.
