> you cant compare what everycar does to what you have all the time. youre 3076r, 3.938:1 final drive, fmic, on low air pressure, with a 9.5:1 motor traps slower with slower ET than my car did on the same wastegate pressure… with 35psi in the tires, and a worse 60ft… not all things are created equal. and right now id rather have a smaller turbo than what ive got. peak numbers arent everything… his car went so wellbecause it makes more under the curve than the large 30frame turbos do. both of our cars would get murdered by a GT28RS car on street tires. it would be like swift vs JAZ. downlow we’d get cooked, but uptop we’d pick up and close in, but might be too little, too late.

low air pressure? 44 must be low to you. cuz thats what i ran for 4 runs. on the last 2 i aired em to to 35 and that when my et went down and trap went down.

on another note, i’d like to gor for a ride in a 28rs car.

i have, and a 28RS car is a night and day difference in the lower rpm. it feels like a k03 car with power past 5,000rpm to boot. where we are grabbin snickers bars from idle until around 4000rpm the 28RS is making tons of boost and making tracks.

So wait…you bought/installed a different clutch disk + PP(used or not, doesn’t matter) but didn’t surface the FW??? Did I read that right? If so that’s why it’s slipping, period. FW is bedded and marred to the old disk surface pattern. The disk doesn’t conform to the surface changes in the FW. You lose friction surface area without a surfacing. You could have stuck a new disk and pressure plate in there and it would have a 50% chance of slipping like this used one does.

Live and learn as they say. Plan to rip the bitch out again Trav :sad Find a good used FW and surface it. It’s a must do.

BTW, where did you bring the FW to have it checked??? We have a Blanchard machine here but I don’t recall an sti FW kicking around lately aside from Justins. Aaron might have checked it though if you did bring it to us.

he did resurface the flywheel? Also, he just stated that Travis’s new clutch slipping is just to fuck with people…his clutch doesnt slip. I have known this also.
