# treo 700p question

I have an issue with a treo 700p. It is a verizon phone and using wireless sync software. The phone sends e-mail to the outbox and the recepient gets the message, but the message stays in the outbox and on the next sync it sends the message again. For some reason the message stays in the outbox and never gets moved to the sent mailbox. I sent a test message this morning from the device and have received 10 of the exact same message from the device thruout the day. It pretty damn annoying.

what mail client are you using on the phone? What email protocol (pop, imap, mapi)?
I’ve had weird things happen with the treo mail client on an imap system. Couldn’t really pin-point a problem but switched to snapper mail and everything works well. May want to give that a try.

i never had any luck with wireless sync on mine… i am by no means a computer pro though.
i used the versamail program that comes on the disc included with the phone and never had any issues with that. if you are able to switch to a different program, i would try that one.

have you installed any third part software…even ringo has been known to screw thigns up on treos…i’ve seen 600s 650s 700s all do crazy things from time to times and 3rd party was USUALLY the problem, backup your data and do a hard reset…

I spoke to verizon tech support and had to reset the phone, remove the user from the wireless sync software, and have the verizon tech support guy remove the account from the server. After we did that, I added the user to the wireless sync software and everything is back to normal.
