# truck for towing

Hi i know thats a little vague, but im looking for something with a Ext cab, 4x4 is a plus but not a must. must be a v6, auto or manual is fine. would like to keep it around 4k. high milage is fine just cant be a rust bucket… would also consider a Jeep wrangler… 4k cash is pretty much my max but i have a 16gb ipad wifi and 3g i could throw in too

So you want to buy a tow vehicle, but you didn’t mention what the tow capacity of said vehicle should be. You might want to post that.

that makes more sense
most people would consider a “tow vehicle” to be something that could do 5,000 lbs or more. You could tow 1500 with just about anything out there.

I have a 99 Silverado ext cab, 4x4, hitch, 6" drop reciever, 161k, trans rebuilt about 2k ago (have receipts from Northeastern Transparts), has some rust around the rear wheel arches and both rocker panels (nothing that isn’t repairable, just beyond my skill level tho), its a 5.3l v8 tho, gets about 15 avg, 18-19 highway, runs strong, tires have only 5k or so on them. if interested I can snap some pics when I get home later, just don’t have any on my phone. looking for around $4k, has lien on it from loan, $4k is about what is left on the loan.
