# TrueBlue's new project. 56K warn.

Well, after many many moons of looking, almost-purchasing, couple of bodily threats, ( š ) etc., I finally found one. Been a big dream of mine and itās here. Enjoy fellas (and ladies).
**_1968 Mustang Fastback C-code_**
Hereās whatās there.
Engine:
Stock 302
Upgraded to 4bbl 4160 Holley carb (rebuilt)
Holley electric choke kit installed
Pertronix Ignitor I
Driveline:
Tremec TKO 3550 5 speed transmission
10.5" King Cobra cable clutch with Dual Friction disc
Ford Racing aluminum flywheel
Cable clutch pedal conversion with pivot bearing
New u-joints on balanced shortened driveshaft
Stock 9" rear end, 3.0:1 limited slip (Trac-Loc)
Brakes:
Front: New Wilwood 4 piston Dynalite 11" front disc brakes
Rear: New drums, shoes, springs, slave cylinders, e-brake hardware
Stock dual resevoir master cyl, manual (no booster)
All new brake lines with stainless braided flex hoses
Wilwood proportioning valve
Suspension Front:
New upper/lower control arms
New spring perches
New ball joints
New strut rod bushings (rubber)
New 1" front anti-sway bar
New KYB (white) shocks
New 620# drop coil springs
Chassis:
New left side frame rail extension
New left side front fender aprons
New outer shock towers (both sides)
New fender mounting brackets
New right side frame rail extension repair (at bumper mount)
New battery tray
New export brace
Steering:
Manual. Expect built forearms. š
New idler arm, inner/outer tie rods
Real Grant wood steering wheel
Exhaust:
New Tri-Y headers
Mustangs Unlimited aluminized turbo mufflers
New 2" pipes all the way back
Wheels:
15" x 8" Wheel Vintiques Magnum 500s
BF Goodrich Radial T/A white-letters(with \< 500 miles)
Fuel System:
New gas tank w/sending unit
New stainless steel fuel lines
New stock fuel pump
Body:
Driverās door restored (new window regulator, linkages, latch assembly,
exterior handle, sealed interior metal with POR-15)
All panels original
Extras:
Boxed set of subframe-connectors
Original 1968 shop manual
Second set of OEM door panels

YES the original color is Highland Green on black bucket interior - same as Steve McQueenās 1968 GT Mustang in _Bullitt_. š Not a deciding factor, but thatās what the car will go back to. Not familiar with the scene?

OEM dash. Interior needs a carpet and some goodies.
Rear air extractors. Sorry 'bout the bluriness.
Documentation. Thatās not the price I got her for.

302, 5-sp. Tremec TKO, Holley 4-bbl.
From the rear. 2" Exhaust and 9" Ford Trac-Loc. (Or a āposiā to the uneducated.)
Note the clean structural parts - shock towers, export, etc are rust free.
Wilwood 4-pistons w/ proportioning valve.
One of the sexiest hands-down rear-ends in all autodom.
Spare OEM door panels and in the box, subframe connectors. Owner was an incredible guy and threw these in.
Even though it was a re-paint, OEM decals. Theseāll be saved.

looks pretty cool. I like the shape of these cars. Always have.
put a good import motor in it and make it worthwhile. Like a nissan or bmw inline 6.

Thats excellent Tom!!! I always knew you had a thing for the stangs ;). Any major plans for the car? You have an excellent base to start from, the body looks like its in amazing shape! I might have to come check this thing out :headbang:

A guy at my work was all bent out of shape because the corvette he is working on had a gas cap that had a slightly silverish hue whereas the original was supposed to be white. He has probably mentioned it every day for the past 3 weeks.

Just a lot of body work and bringing it back into being straight. It needs a cowl and a driver-side floor pan. Anytime you want Ken, you owe me a ride in Cobra anyway. š Beer is on me.

Tomā¦ Did you finally get it delivered?
It looks even better than you have been describingā¦ Now get to ripping it apart so you can have it for the spring.
Start stripping it down, label all your parts and get the body soda blasted. PM suzukiriderman Jesse on NYSpeed.
Remember, it always takes longer than you anticipateā¦
Maybe Iāll have to take a swing out that way and check it out.

I did Joe :tup: The semi dropped it off on a side street so I drove it back through the village with no plates, no registration, and no lights - I found the switch when I got back to the house :lol: Cop pulled into my driveway after I got out. :hay:
Start tearing it down in a few weeks here.
