# tubing bender

i have been thinking about purchasing a tubing bender for small projects but am questioning these kits. they are cheap and usually you get what you pay for but by the design these should work okay for what i need them for. if anyone has any real input, experience, i would appreciate it.

tommy you get what you pay for, the tj diesel one will do the job but it bends on a 7" radius which is larger than most. What are you building anyway?

i have a few things i want to build. roof rack, tube fenders, etc.
edit i had to lol at the wood kit. if i find it again i’ll post it up

the only problem with it is that the dies are as much as the bender, fine if your going to only use one size piping.

ive used the jd2 one… its pretty good… on thicker pipe you really need a long handle… and its easy to overbend if you are doing it by yourself and cant have somebody spotting the degree mark…
i would suggest adding on the hydraulic ram if you are going to be doing a lot of stuff

Speedway motors sells a pretty decent one too. My buddy John acutally has one that he modified with a air/hydraulic pump that he makes all of his cages with.
Edit: it looks very similar to that TJ Diesel one.

that is the exact same setup as the tj diesel but $100 more expensive
