# turbo timer. 180sx

just bought a greddy turbo timer.
i also bought the optional wiring harness.
everything is in except for one wire that splices off.
it says it needs to be tapped into the ecu to a speed signal wire. but i have heard of people wiring it up to tach as well :S
from googling and searching i have come up with this.
Yellow / Red stripe
Tachometer signal
Yellow / Green stripe
Speedometer signal
can anyone with a full auto turbo timer installed PLEASE verify this for me? and which do i use, tach signal or speed signal?

Those are the right wires. You can either find then easily off the plug that is just above the ECU or they also are in the white dash plug.
BUt no idea about the other’s, it woudl make sense to be tach

thanks for the post man, now just debating which one to hook it to. tach, or speedo.
manual says speedo, people say tach.
argh.

well what is the wire for? to display your speed or your rpms?
What model of the greddy turbo timer is it?

the newest one. looks identical to the profec b spec 2 boost controller.
its for the full auto option.
but the timer also says it records speed so speedo would make sense.
