The 5,000 turbo kit is using some cheap stuff, even if you get stuff at dealer, 1,200 for turbos, 1,200 for a good wastegate and a bov, headers capable of lasting longer than a season 700, plus intercooler and exhaust/intake plumbing will take you over 5,000, and thats not an ounce of labor, just parts. And I would love to see a caprice that runs 11’s with just a shot of nitrous. paul, nice builds can be done on budgets…but, i have one question… you probably have becuase you have a lot of experience, but have you ever done a complete FI build? theres odds and ends that add up quickly that will have you way over budget. plus, the reason i was suggesting such parts/prices was because he was suggestign somewhere in the area of 7-800hp. if you want something thats gona last, and perform well, its gona cost. again, im not saying you need pro billet rods, BB turbos, AFR/ETP heads, etc,…but having a budget combination that will work still adds up quickly. you cant just throw loads of boost at something and expect it to make power and last --- _[View the full topic](https://forums.speedlife.net/t/turbo-vs-procharger-lt1/20029)._
