Well this is the first year i will be filing for my own taxes…well im fuckin stuck on the first question hahaha
Did I buy a House in 2007?
**Well i cosigned with my dad for the house i live in now in 2007…**
**So does that mean i brought a house? when im a cosigner?**

where do you think you brought it? anyway, cosigning for a house is not buying a house. are you making any payments? if not, you didn’t buy a house.

$0.02. Its your judgment call from here on out:
If you got a statement from the bank with your name & ssn on it stating this is how much interest you’ve paid for 2007, then you **_can_** claim that.
If your name is on the property deed, you’ll have a legal leg to stand on in a tax audit.
However, once the auditor sees that you don’t have any canceled checks made payable to the mortgage, consider that leg to be limp.
