# Turbotrix and Galant VR4 info?

I’m possibly looking at a GVR4 tomorrow, and it’s apparently owned by the wife of the owner of Turbotrix. It has some mods to it. Anything I should look for in terms of the car, and possibly dealing with the owner of the shop? He apparently tuned the car as well. Has this shop been known for good work practices and tuning abilities?

Looks like a good deal if nothing major is wrong.
Very hard to find low mileage VR4s, but you knew that already…
I’d check on dsmtuners and NYC DSM threads to read about what TurboTrix is up to these days. They were the people to go back when I had my VR4 but that was like almost 10 yrs ago.

GVR4s are great little cars if taken care of properly, this one looks like its been maintained well AND it has low miles
only thing that would concern me is the SAFC…
personally I would rip that ecu out and throw a CT9A ecu and go open source then head back to JR for a tune

yeah, i was reading up on that. seems like the thing to do now.
i think it has TMO stage 3, and i cant find any real info on that (TMO). I think it may be DSMChips, and then tweaked with the SAFC from what the owner made it sound like.

Saw the car for sale and it looks real clean. As for Turbo Trix I ordered parts from them years ago and they were easy to deal with. Not so sure about today as I havent done any business with them in the past 5 years
