I honestly cannot say how long i will be in cincy… from what i heard tonight, i will be working here atleast 50-60 hrs a week and then off to oregon :dunno: full details yet ☹ im just going w/ the flow for right now. its not that far at all to visit and whore up the town for a few days 🙂 ---

I can’t believe that it made financial sense building into the Mon Valley - I think it was political. Now if they build the section from Jefferson to the parkway, I could see that being used. This string hits a nerve with me. I think the PA Turnpike is one of our most mismanaged State Agencies in PA. A 40% increase in revenues!!! How could that be necessary? We have the most expensive toll roads in the nation, and in the worst condition. just ask the most experienced on the subject…truck drivers. Let me get on my soapbox now: Everyday on my way home from work, I drive by the Turnpike Commision building on 66 in Youngwood/New Stanton. The lawn is mowed 2 to 3 times per week, in two directions. No it’s not a MLB field or PGA golf course, it’s the grass in front of a partially occupied turnpike office building. Why the large building? Why the excessive lawncare and landscaping? This property was seeded and landscaped, then had the sod removed and was reseeded the next season. Always brand new equipment, much more than necessary. I would love to see an audit of the Turnpike’s books. All that excess and mismanagement of funds needs policed. Is the turnpike under the juristiction of PennDOT? Perhaps this would be a good inquiry item for the State’s Attorney General’s office for an audit request. I just paid $1.25 to drive from New Stanton to Monroeville, my gravel driveway is a smoother ride. Any guesses as to what the turnpike takes in tolls daily now? (C’mon Shaggy if anybody can find it online you can) ---
