# Two fittings on aftermarket actuator ?

I’ve recently purchased and installed an aftermarket adjustable actuator, the only thing that bothers me is… why is there two fittings ?

It’s a dual-port internal wastegate.
This is how it might get hooked up with a boost controller.

so with no after market boost controler would you just the lower nipple open then?
it has an adjustable actuator arm

the thing about this actuator is that how do I adjust to the max boost setting?

Just leave it open.
The idea is that under boost the added pressure on the second port would help hold the wastegate closed and then when the proper boost pressure is reached a solenoid would switch it to atomsphere so that the spring can be compressed and the wastegate opened. When the pressure drops below the desired boost level the solenoid switched back to pressure and the waste gate will snap closed.
You’ll get better boost response and faster spool if you have the right hardware to make it work.

Sounds good guys, I honestly dont know which brand this is, so is it even safe to use ? Or should I get a in-line screw-type boost controller and get a stock actuator.

its an hks bought at JRP by me when Dip(Derek) and i were their last time
