Apparently I have one still from 12/19/2008 for $40 for a Winter Parking Prohibition. I graduated, work full time, dont plan on going back to UB ever and also have my degree from them. My question is that since this is a UB law, does it matter as long as I dont end up back there? The part that freaks me out is this at the bottom. > Vehicles with 3 or more unpaid citations within an 18-month period will be forwarded to New York State DMV for denial of vehicle registration renewal. In addition, you cannot renew your UB parking permit until the balance is rectified. The citation(s) listed above may not reflect all violations associated with the registered vehicle and/or license plate number. Correspondence pertaining to additional violations may be forthcoming. Since I did not park in a handicapped spot or violated a NY state law, can UB really report the DMV and screw up my registration on my car or future cars? ---

I got one from 2006!!! they are withholding my diploma!!! I hate those fuckers. I was there only a short time ago to pay off 2 tickets I had gotten. I sucked it up and paid them, then they send a letter to my parents saying, I had a ticket from 06 and I’m not getting my diploma till it’s paid. God I wanna burn the parking office to the ground. ---

Ya they are the most unhelpful and unfriendly people in there. Its like the armpit of the UB administration. I used to get tickets for parking in flint when i had my tag up and my flint sticker on it. It was just a pain to go there and appeal it. I flipped on one kid because he told me that if i already had an appeal i would be forced to pay the ticket. I wanted a good reason why I was responsible for their uneducated parking attendants mistakes that they can’t read my valid, non obstructed tag and he finally gave up ---

bah, i have one from 2000 I was driving my 1st gen Rx-7 and didn’t put the hang tag on it… (because it falls off the mirror the way its mounted) so they send me a letter to the house every year asking for their 40 bux… and every year i just ignore it they cant put me together with the parking ticket so they cant put any checkstops on my account ---

what really pisses me off, is that at a school that touts their technology. They have retards with electronic printers THAT ARENT TIED INTO THEIR GODDAMN SYSTEM. I have to register my car with them every year to get a tag, why cant they run my plate? They already have to put it in to print out the ticket. Why doesnt it show I’m a student with a goddamn tag, even if its “not visible” (i.e. the lazy fuck didnt want to brush the snow off of my windshield to see the tag that was CLEARLY hanging there)?! ---

Bah, I got one from 1997. I had a paring pass on my rearview, but it was so hot that day the rearview fell off the windsheild in my Camaro. They didn’t notice my rearview with parking tag was on my car floor. I just got a notice this week from a ticket I was issued in January for parking on the bookstore lot grass. I NEVER parked on the grass near the lot. If I can’t find a spot I park behind our store. WTF. They never ticket the cars that I see violating in the lot when I’m out there, but I get tickets for something I didn’t do… Darrrr ---

They must have just batch processed, my dad called me about a parking ticket at UB from 2006. I payed every ticket I ever had at UB. I only got two while I was there. So f’em, they’re just scrounging for money. It’s like digging through the cushions of your couch looking for change. We should all write to the alumni affairs office saying how we had our check book out and planned to make four-figure gifts to our alma mater, but than we received pithy $20 parking ticket collection envelopes that threatened legal action; we changed our mind and decided to make it out to the parking office instead. Go in and tell them you never had owned a car or plate that the ticket was issued to and they just cancel it. Worked 3 times for me! lol ---
