# Ufc 93

LONG POST!
UFC 93 is tomorrow. Lets see if I pick the fights better this time around, I was 1-3 for ufc 92.

- Both fighting at 205 rather than 185. I’m a huge fan of hendo ( thats dan henderson for you mma newbs), but I like him a lot better at 185. This is Rich’s second fight at 205. Rich seemed more comfortable at 205 than he did at 185, but I think hendo is too tough for him. Hendo is a two time olympic wrestler and he should dominate that aspect of the game. I’m going with Hendo by TKO/KO in the 2nd round.

- Coleman is a legend in MMA. UFC’s first heavyweight champ… so yes, he is old. 44 to be exact. Usually I’d give him no shot based on his age alone, but that’d be foolish espeically after seeing what Randy Couture has done at that age. Both fighters will be at 205, which is another concern I have for Coleman. He is the former HEAVYWEIGHT champ (weight limit is 225 - 265) and we all know that age and slimming down don’t usually mix well. [Sherdog.com](http://Sherdog.com) has him listed at a fighting weight at 245. He has always been a big powerful guy so I’m curious to see how he fights at his lowest fighting weight ever. “Shogun” Rua is a future champ and if didn’t have a few injuries this past year than I think he’d be champ now. He was ranked #1 in his weight class before the injuries. The key for Shogun is to stay on his feet and prevent Coleman from taking him down and just pounding him out. If he does that then it should be an easy victory. I’m going with Shogun by submission (rear naked choke) in the 3rd round.

- Blecher is a UFC veteran with 7 fights (4-3). Kang is a UFC rookie, but has been around the block man times over. He is a 7 fight veteran of PRIDE and boosts and impressive 6-1 record. Kang def has the upper hand on experience. Both fighters have similar styles and it seems like most people are picking Belcher to win, but I think Kang is going to grind it out to the end. I’m going with Kang by UD.

- Two guys that love to box it out. Should be a great fight. I’m picking this to be the fight of the night. I think Davis finishes most of his fights, but Lytle rarely ever get finished. Of his 16 losses, 14 of them were decisions. With all that said, I’m going to go with Davis by UD.

- This could either be an exciting match or extremely boring. Both these guys are graplers so most of this match will be on the ground. Horn has an extreme advantage in experience with have over 100 professional fights (80-18-5), but he has stuggled against the new generation of mma fighters and has lost his 3 of his last 4 fights. I’m going with Palhares by submission (triangle choke) in the 1st round.

i watch most fights but i cant see spending the money on this fight when in 2 weeks there is much better fights for the money

uhhhh… and Affliction: Day of Reckoning next Saturday. 😮

that’ll be his final fight. He does not want to fight anymore cause he wants to become an actor. He can act after his fighting career! He hasn’t even reached his prime yet and now he’s going to go off on another career. WEAK!

F that noise. A friend of mine has a website where we stream it online fo’ FREE. The picture comes out awesome too after we hook up to a flat screen TV. We’ve watched a few fights from it now and we haven’t had a single problem with it. If i’m near a computer later when we watch it, I’ll post the link for anyone who wants to watch it.

i went 4-1 with my picks, but overall the PPV sucked. Fights weren’t that exciting.

coleman vs rua fight was a such a disappointment. Both fighters looked like shit. Coleman would have actually pulled off a decision victory if he lasted the last 30 seconds of the 3rd round.
