Sounds like you have to intentionally download it and run it. Sounds like a non-issue to me, the OS can only do so much…

that’s pretty much the text book definition of malware. lol anyone remember the file on all the old warez sites that supposedly turned your 28k modem into a 56k?
just be careful of email attachments and/or P2P file sharing if not using any kind of malware protection

HAH, weaksauce.
I got a chuckle from this, Intego is the company that published the findings. Their [report](http://www.intego.com/news/ism0802.asp) states:
> There are cases where this exploit does not work. If a user has turned on Remote Management in the Sharing pane of System Preferences under Mac OS X 10.5, or if a user has installed Apple Remote Desktop client under Mac OS X 10.4 or earlier and has activated this setting in the Sharing preferences, the exploit will not function
But, what do we do? How can I protect myself?
Intego’s solution?
> The best way to protect against this exploit is to run Intego VirusBarrier X5 with its virus definitions dated June 19, 2008
Of course! If you want to protect yourself, don’t follow the easy and free way to stop the exploit. Buy Intego’s security software, only $69.65!
