Is your friend certified retarded? The engine was not sent to Japan. It was built by Hybridynamics in Youngwood (back before it was sold to new ownership and moved locations). It does not make 550hp. It does not run in the 9’s. You told me it has a 20g turbo. A 20G turbo will barely support 400hp, let alone 550hp. So your horsepower number is off by about 250. And that is crank horsepower, not wheel horsepower as you tried to tell me. Also, a 70mm turbo is WAYYYYY to big for a 4cyl car. You see them on 1000hp Supras and V8’s… And that is if it’s tuned correctly, which I am sure this car is not. Also, did you know there are only about a half dozen front wheel drive Eclipses in the world running in the 9’s? And they are all built and raced by professionals with sponsorships and shop support. If you are ignorant of cars and really are selling this for a friend, I will tell you that this claim is beyond ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and tell your buddy to sell his own car and that he’s a dick for putting you up to this for him and giving you a bunch of really, really bad information. Or tell him to drive it into a brick wall and do the gene pool a big favor.
