Your more confused that you need to be.
The Ultimates and the Avengers weren’t related through the comics. Both had their own Thor. I guess it depends on your source though.

ugh - i was really disappointed. no wonder it went straight to dvd.
the ultimates comic is a modern day reinterpretation of the avengers comic. this movie in turn is a shitty cartoon for 12 yr old reinterpretation of the modern day interpretation. In the whole process of the “telephone game”, I proceeded to lose 1 hour and 46 minutes of my life and a blank dvd-r.
if you’re a comic book fan, do yourself a favor and don’t watch this. Hopefully drivel like this will just stop getting made.

i got it tonight…Told my gf I wanted to get it when the comercial was on TV and she got it for me, SCORE! Yeah the punch to the knee was badass…the rest had a coating of weaksauce I must admit.

Sorry for the double post but my comp wont let me edit my first one :gotme:
Anywho…few things that bothered me were:
1. I cant get over the fact they made Nick Fury black. I hate when they change the origional characters to be more politicly correct. I don’t care if they have black guys, don’t get me wrong, but to change him because of politics is gay. It’s like in Daredevil…kingpin was white. Stick to the story damnit.
2.Iron man was a total puss, and looked kinda weird.
1. Thor was a puss and looked like a fag. He stood up to the Hulk for 30 seconds and got his ass handed to him in 1 hit.
(btw. why did Hulk have such a hard time lifting the mace/axe thing? was it suppose to be really heavy? i dont remember.)

let me restate my opinion - compared to the comic, it sucked. if i didn’t read the comic first, i would have definitely enjoyed the movie more. but the comic was written so well, that there was no where to go with the movie but downwards.
if you liked the movie - get the comic tradebacks. I promise you the comic is worth its retail price.

It botherd me and some others as well, not that he was black, but that he wasn’t Nick Fury, as portrayed in the comics. I also hated the black kingpin.
Why not make the Cap’n black while your at it.

Not a total puss… he got his ass handed to him by the Hulk… Iron Man’s main strength is the ability to change suits as the job changes. It wasn’t until after his first meeting with the Hulk that he made his Hulk Crusher suit. Which, was just a stronger model of his original suit, but not nearly as strong as the Hulk himself.

Not sure at which point in the movie that Thor was a puss… he sunk one of the ships by himself, and went toe to toe with the Hulk for longer than anyone else. Thor with Mjolnir is as stong as a slightly pissed Hulk. Thor without is slightly stonger than a normal Hulk. Once Thor sent Hulk flyin… Hulk got really pissed, and therefore became more powerful than Thor.

Hulk struggled with Mjolnir because Mjolnir can only be carried by those who are true of heart, or something. Mjolnir should not be able to be picked up by any earth bound power, but as you can see, Hulk enrages himself again when he realises he can’t pick it up, once Hulk gets to this point, his powers break the earthly realm, and become Un-Earthly. This basically means he is the stongest shit in our Earthly Realm, and can pick-up, throw, or man-handle anything he wants. When he finally gets Mjolnir up off the ground, they did a very good job of showing the effort in handling it. You could see that the object in his hands had great weight… when he threw it at Thor… it was almost a deadly blow. Thor, being a God would eventually shake it off, but not anytime soon.
As you could see… after beating down every Avengr, Hulk was preparing to kill them… each one was going to die. He was squeezing Cap. About to do an atomic drop on Giant Man, going to crush Wasp, he was pounding Iron Man into a mess… and he was about to use the business end of Mjolnir to hack off Thor’s head.

Yeah Hulk kicked some serious ass. Thor did a decent job against hulk for a little bit but it would have been better if he lasted alittle longer i guess.
