Same here in Syracuse. They opened up right in Carousel Mall, the main mall of Syracuse, and even still they failed big time. I thought it was just their Eastern US stores that were closing but now I realize they’re going out of business completely. Guess they bit off a bit more than they could chew with their expanding. ---

i went in there once. besides seeing a friend who did car installs no one came up to me at all to help me with a tv buy. went to best buy got basically the same tv i was looking at there for $300 cheaper. ---

I looked at the store manager position there. After my wife and I reviewed the company and their model we gave them two years I I skipped on applying. Good move i guess. Dig deeper into the officers of the company and younwillmsee how poised to fail they were ---

I went to the Buffalo one with Don/Carnut. My 1st comment was something like “this place won’t last long”. When asked why I thought that I said massive overhead with no real competitive edge. The building was WAY too big and they did nothing to differentiate themselves from Best Buy. For christ sake their color scheme was the same as Best Buy. ---

Those liquidation sales are rarely deals. They mark up the prices a shitload, then take off 50 percent, and you end up paying pretty close to retail for something with no warranty no return. ---

It’s a game to get people hyped up and clear shit out. It works amazingly well. And like Justin said…no return location means I’d have to get a screaming deal to even consider it. Just my 2 cents anyhow. 😉 ---

I walked into computer city on the last day they were “open” and got a few things 90% off. Some slightly blemmed logitech stuff, like $300 worth of bluetooth kb and mice for $30. I may check this place out a couple times while they liquidate… ---

Getting a great deal at a liquidation is all about being in the right place at the right time. Communications skills are key too, something a lot of people on here are really lacking in person. If you’ve got that great salesman personality chances are you’ve gotten far better deals at liquidations than someone with horrible communication skills who just lurks around looking at price tags and walks out. The people managing the liquidation have quite a bit of control over dropping prices if you just know how to talk to them. ---

there is a furniture store locally going out of business, chapter 11. I walked in and the sales guy ran up to me and was like anything you see i can knock atleast 30% off. I walked around a little bit, sales guy stalking me, the boss sales guy was like dont listen to what these fucking guys said, I can knock way more off anything they told you, I’m in the mood to sell tonight" Lol I didnt buy anything, not because the deals werent good, but because they didnt have any king bed frames I wanted or, media storage. still A for effort tho ---

you can get a great deal on liquidation sales, i got my 1300$ laptop from CC for 600 bux with a 3 year warranty, also all the headunit kits were being sold for 2-5$, i pickedup about 20 of them and sold them for 10-15$ on ebay ---

Couple keys were missing on the keyboard that i replaced with the another kb, guess noone wanted a “broken” kb or open box stuff…It’s junk right…I still have the good shit and the rest I sold off. I went in looking for a usb cord lol. Sry you lost your job btw. ---

I enjoyed about 6 months off on unemployment and then got a job making over double the pay. 🙂 It was my first real job and I gained alot of experience from it as well.
